According to the Center for Competition Policy and Consumer Protection Research, Uzbekistan’s business activity index rose by 1.1 points in the third quarter of 2026 compared with the second quarter, reaching 53.5 points. The survey included representatives of more than 500 large enterprises in the manufacturing and services sectors.
The highest regional index values were recorded in Karakalpakstan (57.9 points) and Namangan Region (57.4 points). For the fourth quarter, the index is forecast to reach 53.2 points, suggesting that business activity will remain close to its current level.
The results indicate an expansion in business activity. However, according to the center’s publication, inflationary pressure persists. It is important to note that the survey included only large enterprises, meaning the index does not reflect the situation of small and medium-sized businesses.
